Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake said “I do” in Italy last week, and the details surrounding the big day were very hush-hush. Until now, that is.
Mum is no longer the word, as the newlyweds dominate the cover of the new People magazine, which contains wedding photos and coveted details of their private nuptials.
“It was a really special evening,” Timberlake, 31, tells the magazine in their cover story.
How special was it? Although I personally don’t know (Can you believe I wasn’t invited?), according to US Weekly and their sources, it was quite an extravagant affair.
On the 19th of October, the couple took the plunge in front of 150 guests, all close family and friends (including Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Beverly Mitchell and Timbaland) at a little place called the Borgo Egnazia, a 5 star hotel surrounded by green olive groves with the Adriatic sea as its luxurious doorstep.
Although the resort has a website, it is very much inaccessible to the general public right now. Think their servers have crashed from all the increased traffic? Oh, the power of TimberBiel.
Fortunately, the magazine coverage gives us a mental picture, stating: “The fairytale-like building is like an ancient fortress with whitewashed walls; the rooftops are dotted with turrets and chimneys and tiny windows. To mark the occasion, the entire hotel was decked out with white floral displays, per a source — even the balconies facing the main courtyard were dressed with white blooms.”
If that already sounds like a total fantasy, well, it just keeps getting better.
Referring back to People, it is revealed that Mr. Timberlake serenaded his blushing bride as she walked down the aisle in her custom-made, pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. What was the former ‘NSync frontman singing, you ask? No, it wasn’t “Sexyback,” “Carry Out,” or even “My Love.” The song was an original, penned just for the occasion, and dedicated to Jessica.
Cue the “awww!”s now.
The wedding capped off a week’s worth of celebrations, ending with a reception inside the hotel. According to Opposing Views, the night included the duo’s first dance as a married couple, to Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You,” and a four course meal of steak, sea bass, Italian ice cream, and almond/coconut cake. Delizioso!
By Sunday, the couple jetted off to an undisclosed location, as the celebration continued.
